Funding Sources As a public service, ETV Canada has listed a few sources of government funding that may be applicable to an environmental project or environmental technology development. These will be updated periodically, although we inform you in advance that some of these may be dated or no longer available as this is the nature of funding programs.
OCETA has a list on their web site and is only updated once or twice a year. Web site: http://www.oceta.on.ca – go to Environmental Industry Analysis, and scroll down the list. ETV Canada and OCETA have limited funds available to SMEs on a case-by-case basis, using funds allocated from the Ontario Research Commercialization Program (ORCP) and the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation. We are also exploring other co-funding opportunities. These funds are directed to help defray the cost of an EDTAP project (see details about EDTAP in this web site), preparation of a Technology Specific Test Plan (TSTP) and possibly some contribution to ETV Verification costs. Please check in with us from time to time or e-mail: Steve Guerin at sguerin ( @oceta.on.ca ) for further details or status. Industry Canada's website provides a portal to a number of resources related to financing at http://www.ic.gc.ca/epic/site/ic1.nsf/en/h_00156e.html. Note - Strategis has merged with Industry Canada to provide a single point of entry to its programs and services. There are a variety of other published sources, including various printed guides such as CCH Canada, and these are not difficult to find. The Canadian Subsidy Directory 2007 is now available, which contains more than 3200 programs from federal & provincial governments, associations and foundations. Electronic and/or printed copies can be obtained by calling 1-866-322-3376. We will not be preparing any lists of these sources as we are restricting our sources to energy and environmental related topics. |
